Jeni Fairman

Most days, I bring science to life through my work as a science illustrator, blending artistic flair with educational impact to deepen our understanding of the world. Since launching Jeni Elizabeth Jewelry in 2016, I’ve translated this passion into crafting unique pieces that celebrate the beauty of nature, particularly bugs and botanical elements. My work embodies a lifelong commitment to inspiring a deeper appreciation of nature, especially the kind we often see in our own Baltimore backyards.

Working with precious metals, I incorporate unique embellishments such as precious stones, glass, and recycled materials. Some pieces showcase natural metal finishes, while others feature a pop of color. I often turn my mistakes into treasures – the shards of a broken bauble are too pretty to toss, so I shape them into my own cabochons using a glass grinder to become a one-of-a-kind treasure.

Each unique piece is consistent in theme yet distinct in design. My clients describe my work as “detailed” and “whimsical”. This year’s collection is my most refined yet—still true to my vision, but always with a fresh spark.
