True Blue

March 4 – April 15, 2016
with an opening reception Friday March 4, 6 – 9pm

True Blue was a juried exhibition organized by the Baltimore Jewelry Center. The color blue calls to mind a feeling of vast openness: the color of the sky and the ocean depths. It is associated with longing, invoking feelings of nostalgia. It speaks to concepts of personal and emotional freedom, as well as sadness and melancholy. It may have a calming effect or convey a sense of loyalty and trust. Whatever the mood created by blue, it washes over us in waves, buoying us along in its cool tones.
