2025 Summer Fundraiser

“Dear BJC Community,

We’re entering a moment of exciting change. After 12 years of thoughtful and deeply committed leadership, Shane Prada, our founding Executive Director, is stepping down. Shane’s impact on the BJC, from the programs we run to the people we’ve brought together, has been nothing short of transformative. And now, we’re looking ahead to a future shaped by the same care and vision that she helped build.

This summer, we’re launching a campaign to raise $65,000 to support the BJC—and we need your help to get there. From June through September, we’ll be hosting our Summer Event Series, a celebration of creativity, connection, and community. To make your impact even greater, our Board of Directors has pledged a $32,500 challenge gift, matching every new, repeat, or increased donation dollar for dollar.

There are many ways to support:

Make a donation to our summer fundraising campaign. Every new, repeat, or increased gift will be matched dollar for dollar by our Board (!) up to $32,500.
Contribute baked goods to our June bake sale.
Help spread the word by sharing our campaign and events with your friends, family, and networks.
Host a micro-fundraiser with your own personal goal.
Bring a friend (or two!) to our events this summer.

June 13- Bake Sale & Community Open House

Kick our fundraiser series off with us with a bake sale on Friday, June 13th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm during Station North's June Art Walk! Help us work toward our goal of raising $65,000 this summer by indulging in some tasty treats made by members of our community!

Want to show off your baking skills and benefit the BJC? Participate as a baker! Want to support the BJC without spending so much time in the kitchen? Contact us about volunteering for the event and keep your eyes peeled for information about other upcoming events for out Summer Fundraiser!
